Work: Palazzo di Amore

Overview

*I contributed to this project as an employee of Salted Stone

Hopefully more than once in a while, a really sexy project falls into your lap. Last November 2014, I got the chance to develop a Wordpress site for the Most Expensive Home on the US Market. The Beverly Hills estate, named "Palazzo di Amore", or Palace of Love, boasts 35,000 square feet of living space, with an additional 15,000 square feet of entertainment space. It has its own vineyard and a ridiculously gorgeous wine cellar that stores more than 20,000 bottles of wine. And it could be yours for a mere $195 million.

The site was built responsively and with Advanced Custom Fields, so that we could give the client as much control as possible over images, press mentions, contact info, and more. It's a clean and minimalistic design that showcases the incredible photos that we received from the client of the estate. I mean, while there is a Details page describing the Beverly Hills palace of your dreams, all you really need to see are the photos and you're sold. For the home page, I implemented the jQuery Cycle Plugin to display a slideshow of images in the top banner.

This is one project that I'm extremely proud to have been a part of and I'm incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to develop it.
